What is MP government guideline value?
Every financial year, Madhya Pradesh publishes guideline rates for each district, locality by locality, with separate rates for different uses, for built-up property and for agricultural land. The MP guideline value of a property is the figure you get by applying the rate for its locality to its area and type, together with the adjustments in the guideline provisions. These rates are also called collector rates or the MP circle rate.
District valuation committees propose the rates and the state's Central Valuation Board approves them.
New rates normally apply from 1 April; this page covers Government Guideline Value 2026–27.

How Madhya Pradesh guideline rates are used
Stamp duty and registration
Duty and fees are generally charged on the higher of the guideline value and the price in the document, so the property registry guideline value works as a minimum value.

What is government guideline value?
The value of a property worked out from the guideline rates published for its locality. In Madhya Pradesh it is mainly used to calculate stamp duty and registration fees.

FY 2026–27 (1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027). Earlier years are not covered.
